Eu ilustro digitalmente, mas eu adoro a cultura que a gravura carrega junto.

Na xilo ou linogravura, a madeira ou o linóleo têm de ser escavados, e é mais viável gravar ângulos retos, detalhes simplificados e estilizar os elementos. Tentei emular isso no digital, o que por si só gera uma estética nova. Curto como cada estética transmite mensagens e sensações diferentes e isso me interessa um pouco (bastante) mais do que me limitar a só fazer um tipo de ilustração.

In woodcut or linocut, the wood or linoleum has to be excavated, and it is more possible to engrave right angles, simplified details and stylize the elements. I tried to emulate that in digital, which in itself generates a new aesthetic. I like how each aesthetic conveys different messages and sensations and that interests me a little (a lot) more than limiting myself to just doing one type of illustration.
